Laure-Anne Josso (Vannes, France). Unfortunately, a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, decision in the second singles flight clinched the match for Post University, 5-3, before a third-flight win from sophomore
Hannah Murphy (Christchurch, England).
Post University (3-2, 2-0) sized a 2-0 advantage with wins at number three doubles, 8-3, and number one doubles, 8-4. Chestnut Hill College (0-3, 0-3) broke the shutout with a victory at number two doubles, where Josso and Siqueira endured for a 9-7 win (2-1). A trading of singles wins included a 6-2, 6-3, fifth-singles victory from Siqueira that left the spread at 3-2, Eagles. From there the home team put Chestnut Hill College on the verge of extinction with a 6-0, 6-0, win at number four singles (4-2). Josso responded to the threat with her 7-5, 6-3, win at number one singles (4-3), but the rally was short-lived with the Eagles' second-flight triumph (5-3). Murphy earned the only Griffin point not scored by Siqueira or Josso with her 6-7 (6), 6-4, 6-2 win at number three singles (5-4).
