Philadelphia, Pa. - (10/11/2017) – Under threat of rain, today's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's tennis match versus Jefferson University was moved to the Legacy Youth Tennis and Education Center. There, the Lady Rams topped Chestnut Hill College by a 6-3 by sweeping doubles and clinching the match with singles wins in the bottom three flights. Sophomore

Barbara Broville (Toulouse, France), and junior
Julia Bellon (Indaiatuba, Brazil) each scored a singles win for the Griffins.
Jefferson University (9-4, 4-3) got the jump on Chestnut Hill College (1-6, 1-6) with three consecutive doubles wins. The Lady Rams won the top two team flights by an 8-2 final and the third doubles flight 8-0. The Griffins gave themselves a chance with Guzowska winning number one singles, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2, Broville taking number two singles, 4-6, 6-2, 10-4, and Bellon triumphing at number three singles, 6-3, 6-3. Unfortunately, the points were not enough to overcome Jefferson University as the Lady Rams claimed victory in the bottom three singles matches to earn the league win.
The Chestnut Hill College women's tennis team concludes their CACC and fall schedule on Saturday, October 14, when they visit Holy Family University for an 11:00 a.m. match.
