Dexter Thompson (Providence, R.I.) and two successful consecutive jumpers from junior guard
Liban Awl (Manassas, Va.), the Scarlet and Gold tied the affair 11-11 with 12:33 left on the clock. Unfortunately, a junior guard Michael Bush (Harlem, N.Y.) three pointer broke the tie and sent the Redhawks on their way eventually extending the lead 24-13 (7:32). The double-digit combination effort in points Awl and Talford put the Griffins within four points of RWC ending the half, 36-32.
