This time, the Griffins served as hosts for a marathon match against Queens College. The Knights held notable leads in all five sets and used their advantages to earn the 3-2 (21-25, 25-19, 25-18, 22-25, 15-13) victory with wins in the second, 25-19, third, 25-18, and fifth sets, 15-13. Kennedy Sutton (Chesapeake, Va.) totaled six kills, 36 assists, an ace, and 19 digs.
After an early 5-5 stalemate, Queens College (2-4) gradually pulled away from Chestnut Hill College (1-10) for a 16-12 lead in the opening set. But the service of sophomore defensive specialist
Kara Turtzer (La Habra Heights, Calif.) started the Griffin rally, as the Scarlet and Gold tied the frame at 20-20, before capturing a 25-21 win, 1-0.
The Knights responded with wins of 25-19 and 25-18 in the second and third sets, respectively (2-1). Chestnut Hill College evened the match with a 25-22 win in the fourth set. There, their rally mirrored the opening set, tying the frame at 22-22, before winning the point by a 25-22 final (2-2). The deciding set saw Queens College once again sprint out to a large lead, 10-4, and hold the Griffins off in a 15-13 end, 3-2.
Sophomore middle hitter Cassidy Stewart (Keller, Texas) recorded a match-high 22 kills. She also provided the Knights with an ace, a dig, and two blocks. Senior outside hitter Nicoletta DiCocco (Blue Point, N.Y.) supported with 12 kills, two assists, an ace, 23 digs, and two blocks. Senior setter Kristen Moore (Medford, N.Y.) helped them locate their strikes with 48 assists in addition to her two kills, three aces, 22 digs, and two blocks. Senior libero Reggie Anthony (Jamaica, N.Y.) captained Queens College's defense with 26 digs.

Chestnut Hill College returns to their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) schedule on Tuesday, September 19, when they travel to the University of the Sciences (USciences) for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
