Meghan Guagenti (Pennsauken, N.J.); the Scarlet and Gold goalkeeper made a career-high 18 saves to keep the final score at 3-0, Lions.
Georgian Court University (6-3-1, 5-0) issued their first shot just 30 seconds after the opening kickoff (00:31) and found their first goal a little more than four minutes later, when sophomore midfielder Kaitlin Lister (Toms River, N.J.) located the head of sophomore midfielder Anissia Fucci (Manchester, N.J.) at the far post, 1-0 (4:53). Chestnut Hill College (1-7, 1-4) held the Lions at bay for the remainder of the first half, fending off a 20-0 shot advantage thanks to seven Guagenti saves.
After halftime, the Lion shots continued. A Georgian Court University corner kick at 53:52 led to their next tally. The restart bounced off players from both sides before Guagenti went to work on a header and a shot from junior forward Heather Arbachesky (Wall, N.J.), unfortunately, the attempts put her out of position and gave senior midfielder Morgan LaDuca (Toms River, N.J.) a clear shot, 2-0 (54:23). A little more than three minutes later (57:51), Fucci recorded her second score, gathering a loose ball and depositing it on a 30-yard strike, 3-0.
Fucci led the Lions' with her two goals and five of their 41 shots. LaDuca and Arbachesky were two of the 11 others to take at least two shots. Sophomore goalkeeper Natalie Axelsson (Galloway, N.J.) earned the win (5-2).

Marisa Murphy (Philadelphia, Pa.) took the Griffins' only shot, but senior midfielder
Julianna Casasanto (Philadelphia, Pa.) and freshman forward
Gabby Fanfarillo (Glassboro, N.J.) were the targets on a majority of the Chestnut Hill College offensive possessions. Guagenti (1-3) totaled 11 second-half saves to help her surpass her personal best.
The Chestnut Hill College women's soccer team continues their CACC schedule on Saturday, September 30, when they host Nyack College in a 1:00 p.m. Senior Day contest.
