Chestnut Hill College (2-7-1, 1-5-1 CACC) competed with Holy Family University (7-2-1, 5-2-1 CACC) early, holding them to 13 shots in a scoreless first half, 0-0. At 25:26, the Griffins had an opportunity to gain the advantage off of a serve from sophomore forward
Gabby Fanfarillo (Glassboro, N.J.) that perfectly aligned with freshman midfielder
Madison Taylor (Bensalem, Pa.), but she was unable to convert.
In the second half, the Tigers entered the field with a fire that immediately challenged the Griffins defense. Eventually, at 53:20, Holy Family University's strategy finally wore on the Scarlet and Gold's defense recording the first tally, 1-0. The Tigers were unleashed from this moment on as they produced three more goals by 63:02, 4-0. Chestnut Hill College broke the Holy Family University shutout at 75:04, when a long DiRugeris serve met Jimenez for a one touch goal, 4-1. Unfortunately, the Tigers did not let up and tacked on two more points by the end of the affair, 6-1.
Senior midfielder Bree Rock (Bensalem, Pa.) had a spectacular night, scoring four (12 shots) of Holy Family University's six goals. Sophomore forward Alexa Teschko (Clayton, N.J.) and senior midfielder Alyssa Christiansen (Warminster, Pa.) each added the one goal each, while freshman midfield Yasmine Machlof (Hunting Valley, Pa.) and sophomore midfielder Grace Stackhouse (Philadelphia, Pa.) each recorded an assist. Sophomore goalkeeper Brianna Pudlo (Philadelphia, Pa.) took the win (5-2-0) with three saves.
Jimenez had two shot attempts, including her goal. DiRugeris also added one shot. Taylor logged two shots as well, while Fanfarillo and junior forward
