Box Score Newark, Del. – (11/13/2018) – Chestnut Hill College visited the University of Delaware for this evening's National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I crossover. Comfortable on their home court, the Blue Hens used a 54.7% (35-of-64) field goal percentage to separate for a 50-28 halftime lead – an advantage that was more than enough to cover the Scarlet and Gold's 34-point second half in a 100-62 final. Three Griffins finished in double figures, including senior forward Ed McWade (Wildwood, N.J.) (11 points), freshman forwards Keyon Butler (Chester, Pa.) (11), and senior guard Cartier Talford (Reading, Pa.) (10).
 
Chestnut Hill College (1-2) stayed within two points, 18-16, of the University of Delaware (2-1) with 12:31 remaining in the first half. Unfortunately, the Blue Hens outscored the Griffins 32-12 to halftime thanks to 56.3% (18-of-32) field goal percentage – which included a 7-of-13 (.538) effort from three point range - a 22-19 rebounding edge, and 10 Chestnut Hill College turnovers. University of Delaware continued to control the contest in the second half, gradually growing their lead their lead to as many as 45 points, 100-55, in the final minutes (1:26) of the affair.
 
Five Blue Hens finished in double figures, including senior guard Darian Bryant (Bowie, Md.) who finished with a team-high 18 points in addition to a rebound and an assist. Sophomore guard Kevin Anderson (Williamsport, Pa.) was his greatest compliment with 13 points, nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and four steals.
 
McWade added six rebounds and a steal to his 11 points, while Butler's 11 points came with four rebounds. Talford finished with 10 points and three rebounds.
 
Chestnut Hill College continues their early-season, non-conference schedule on Thursday, November 15, when they visit West Chester University for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
