Newark, Del. – (9/18/2018) – Chestnut Hill College continued their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) schedule today, Tuesday, September 18, at Wilmington University, where the Wildcats used a 20-2 shot advantage to eclipse the Scarlet and Gold in a 4-0 final. Freshman midfielder

Marisa Murphy (Philadelphia, Pa.) were responsible for the Griffins' two strikes, while sophomore
Paris Banks (Philadelphia, Pa.) (0-2) and freshman
Kayla Lombardi (South Amboy, N.J.) split the 90 minutes in goal.
Freshman midfielder Emily Navarrete (Sicklerville, N.J.) scored the first two goals for Wilmington University (3-4, 2-1), first tapping in a pass from sophomore midfielder Krysta Memis (Lower Gywnedd, Pa.) at the far post at 1:32 (1-0) and 12 minutes later (13:46), completing a free kick from the right corner by senior midfielder Rebecca Dolhansky (Blackwood, N.J.), 2-0. The Wildcats were able to extend their advantage to 3-0 (36:31), before Chestnut Hill College (2-4, 1-3) was able to issue their first shot, which sailed wide right off the foot of Taylor at 41:49. Unfortunately, Wilmington University continued to pressure the Griffins in the second half. At 61:42, their persistence paid off as junior forward Kelly Robbins (Browns Mills, N.J.) added an unassisted tally that pushed their advantage to 4-0. Murphy's shot came at 72:14, but met the awaiting hands of sophomore goalkeeper Lisa Tiberi (Bear, Del.), who played the final 23:28 for the Wildcats.
Dolhansky led Wilmington University with three points (1 goal, 1 assist) and five shots. Five other Wildcats issued two shots or more. Senior goalkeeper Kate Tubo (Lockport, N.Y.) earned the win (3-4) by playing the opening 66:32.
For Chestnut Hill College, Banks made five saves in the opening 45:00, while Lombardi totaled four saves over the final 45:00.
Chestnut Hill College continues their CACC schedule on Saturday, September 22, when they visit Caldwell University for an 11:00 a.m. kickoff.
