Andrew Thompson (Galloway, N.J.) were not enough to combat ESU, resulting in a 6-2 loss.
East Stroudsburg University (2-0) struck early in the contest scoring goals at 1:13 (1-0) and 3:32 (2-0). Chestnut Hill College (1-2) created scoring opportunities but had a hard time connecting. Tyler Johnson (Howell, N.J.) - put the Griffins within reach of the Warriors, 4-2. Still, before the first period ended ESU recorded one more goal (5-2, 41:27); Thompson had the Griffins' final attempt of the first half at 43:48 but was denied ending the half.
Both teams found it difficult to score in the second half as only one goal was logged by ESU, 6-2 (77:57). Despite Chestnut Hill College's seven shot attempts, none found the back of the net.
