Bronxville, N.Y. - (10/5/2019) – The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) season continued today, Saturday, October 5, for Chestnut Hill College as the Griffins traveled to Concordia College (NY) for an early afternoon kickoff. The Clippers scored the contest's initial tally just after the 20-minute mark (1-0, 20:23) and used a series of second half scores (56:16, 56:52, 62:50) to own a 4-0 advantage before the Griffins got on the scoreboard. sophomore forward
Maddie Jimenez (Bensalem, Pa.) eventually broke the shutout, rebounding her own header to provide the lone Scarlet and Goal in a 4-1 end.
A header from freshman midfielder Reagan Pechy (Pomona, Calif.) gave Concordia College (4-4-1, 2-2) a 1-0 advantage at 20:23. Chestnut Hill College (2-6, 0-5) looked to recover, finding Jimenez and sophomore defenseman
Haley Oneil (Langhorne, Pa.) for strikes at 22:56 and 37:30, respectively. Unfortunately, neither found the goal as the first stopped at the hands of sophomore goalkeeper Sophia Cogan (Seal Beach, Calif.) and the second sailed wide left. Play reached halftime with the Clippers' 1-0 lead intact. After intermission, they had better luck as Concordia College added to their advantage at 56:16 (2-0), 56:52 (3-0), and 62:50 (4-0). Ultimately, the Griffins got on the scoreboard at 66:23, when Jimenez successfully rebounded her own header off the goalpost; 4-1.
Concordia College made the most of their 18-11 shot advantage with bookend tallies from Pechy (1-0, 20:23) and junior forward Sara Calvert (Apple Valley, Calif.) (4-0, 62:50) and in between strikes from sophomore forward Jimena Garcia-Risoto (Madrid, Spain) (56:16, 56:52). But it was freshman midfielder Leigh-Ann Ramsay (Bronx, N.Y.) who led the Clippers in attempts with four. In goal, Cogan earned the win (4-4-1) with four saves in the opening 77:52.

Paris Banks (Philadelphia, Pa.) took the loss (0-2) despite 10 saves.
Chestnut Hill College briefly breaks from their CACC schedule to visit the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) for a 3:30 p.m. contest on Tuesday, October 8.
