Lyndhurst, N.J. - (11/2/2019) – Goals from sophomore forward Maddie Jimenez (Bensalem, Pa.) (1-0, 13:05) and freshman forward Riley Regan (Philadelphia, Pa.) (2-0, 85:38) earned Chestnut Hill College their second Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win of the season as the Griffins defeated Felician University by a 2-0 measure in this afternoon's league contest. Junior goalkeeper Paris Banks (Philadelphia, Pa.) earned the shutout win (2-6) with a three-save performance.
 
Chestnut Hill College (4-13, 2-9) established their offense first, connecting sophomore midfielder Madison Taylor (Bensalem, Pa.) with Jimenez for the game's opening goal just past the 13-minute mark (1-0, 13:05). Felician University (4-9-1, 2-8-1) sought revenge and tested Banks several times in the remaining 32 minutes (31:55), but the Scarlet and Gold defense prevailed to intermission. In the second half, the drama built with each shot. Jimenez offered the first couple (48:58, 50:08) and the Golden Falcons the next series, before Regan scored on a throw in from junior defender Marisa Murphy (Philadelphia, Pa.) late in the affair (2-0, 85:38).
 
Junior midfielder Danielle Jenkin (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) led the Golden Falcons with three shots. Fellow junior, goalkeeper Jamie Kazenmayer (Mooresville, N.C.) made seven saves in the loss (4-9-1).
 
Jimenez took nine of the Griffins' 13 shots. The other four were split among junior forward Gab Fanfarillo (Glassboro, N.J.) (2 shots), Regan (1), and senior defender Elizabeth McCormick (Philadelphia, Pa.).   
 
Chestnut Hill College concludes their 2019 schedule on Wednesday, November 6, with a 2:00 p.m. contest at Holy Family University.
