Norristown, Pa. – (3/15/2019) – Chestnut Hill College welcomed Mansfield University to Latshaw-McCarthy Field for today's home opener. Mansfield University (3-5) took advantage of a second-inning Chestnut Hill College (1-9) error to score their first run of the game, 1-0. In third inning, a leadoff double, and a couple of fly out added a second score, 2-0. The Griffins finally got something going in the fifth inning, where a one-out double from freshman designated hitter
Dutch Reardon (Lafayette Hill, Pa.) and LeBeau's single to left center cut the Mountaineer lead in half, 2-1. Unfortunately, Mansfield University added a run in the eighth inning, 3-1, before McAndrew handed the ball to Zaparzynski (1) for a two-inning save.
