Philadelphia, Pa. - (1/15/2020) – Chestnut Hill College women's basketball earned its second consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win with an 81-70 result against Wilmington University on Wednesday night in Sorgenti Arena.
The Griffins (5-11, 4-3) used a trio of 17-plus point efforts to secure the victory, including a 27-point, 16-rebound double-double from sophomore forward
Leah Miller (Punxsutawney, Pa.). Miller's high-scoring night, which included knocking down 11 of her 13 free throw attempts, marked her second-straight game with a career-high in points.

Amber Washington (Bear, Del.) came off the bench to deliver two assists to put the Griffins up 18-10 at the end of the period.
Chestnut Hill College led from start to finish, but didn't pull away until late in the third quarter, when the Griffins went on an 18-5 run to hold a 17-point lead. The run was kick-started by a three-pointer from sophomore guard

After the third quarter run, the Wildcats (1-14, 1-6) weren't able to pull themselves closer than a nine-point deficit as the Griffins surged to a two-game lead above the CACC playoffs cutline.
Miller's career-high of 27 points led the team, while Sebold and sophomore guard
Lauren Crim (Warrington, Pa.) bolstered their double-figure season averages with 19 points and 17 points, respectively.
