Plymouth Meeting, Pa. (10/10/2021) - Abigail Galaska's goal with 1:47 left in the second overtime lifted the Chestnut Hill College Women's Soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Felician University Sunday afternoon at Victory Field #1 in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania.
The Griffins even their overall and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) records at 4-4-1 and 3-3 respectively. The Golden Falcons fall to 1-8 overall and 0-5 in CACC games.
With the game tied at 1-1 and the second overtime period winding down,
Galaska (Philadelphia, Pa.) was awarded a free kick from the top of the box and proceeded to launch a hard shot towards the right side of the net that the Felician goalkeeper had no chance of saving, giving the Griffins their second consecutive win over a CACC opponent this week.

Maddie Jimenez (Bensalem, Pa.) continued her solid play recording four of Chestnut Hill's 12 shots and scoring the Griffins first goal of the game less than a minute into the second half, taking a cross pass from Galaska right in front of the net and put the ball past the Felician keeper to even the score at 1-1. It was Jimenez's third goal in two games this week.

Bri Hewlett (North Wales, Pa.) gave up just one goal midway through the first half, while recording five saves to earn her second consecutive win.
Chestnut Hill outshot Felician 12-9 (7-6 on goal) in the match while both teams had five corner kicks apiece.
The Griffins return to action on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 when the host Lincoln University (Pa.) in a non-conference match at 7:00 p.m. at Victory Field #1.
