The Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer team struggled offensively for the second consecutive game, losing at Nyack College 2-0 Saturday afternoon at Laurel Hill Park in Secaucus, New Jersey.
The loss drops the Griffins to 0-9-3 overall and 0-6-1 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Conference (CACC). Nyack improves to 6-7 overall and 4-3 in league play.
The Griffins got two early shots on goal from
Miguel Marra while their offense held the Warriors without a shot for the first 30+ minutes of play. Nyack's first shot produced their first goal at the 31:26 mark.  (Oliver Karlin). The Warriors finished the half with six more shots, three of which were saved by CHC goalkeeper
Bryce Fadako. Marra's two shots were the Griffins only two in the half.
Chestnut Hill's defense held Nyack scoreless for most of the second half as Fadako saved all four shots on goal he faced until the 89
th minute when the Warriors picked up their second goal of the game. (Alex Gazzoni) and then ran out the clock.
For the game, Chestnut Hill had eight shots (six on goal) while Nyack recorded 11 (nine on goal). Fadako had seven saves on the afternoon.
The Chestnut Hill Men's soccer team is back in action on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 when they host Molloy College in a non-conference regional match at Victory Field #1 in Plymouth Meeting. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
