Box Score The Chestnut Hill women's tennis picked up their third win in their last four conference matches, defeating Dominican College 6-1 to close out the fall regular season.
The Griffins improve to 3-4 overall and finish Cental Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play with a 3-3 record. Chestnut Hill is tied for fourth place with Goldey-Beacom College and holds the tiebreaker against the Lightning by virtue of a head-to-head win.
Chestnut Hill earned the doubles point after
Annika Wise and
Nele Haag recorded a 6-1 win in their #2 doubles match with the Griffins picking up a win via default at #3 doubles.
Wise also picked up a win at #3 singles, after her opponent withdrew with Wise leading 2-1 in the first set.Â
Carlota Garcia lost just three games in winning her #1 singles match (6-3, 6-0) while her doubles partnerÂ
Romi Meirovich won at #4 singles (6-2, 6-2). Â
Alani Connor took home the win at #5 singles (7-5, 6-2) while Â
Giana Vassalluzzo won her #6 singles match by default.
The CACC Tennis Championship Tournament is up next for the Griffins, with the top four teams in the conference playing for the championship. Play begins Friday, October 21 at Delcastle Tennis center in Delaware and the tournament is hosted by Wilmington University.
