The Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer team played their final road contest of the 2021 season taking on nationally ranked Wilmington University in Newark, Delaware Tuesday afternoon. Wilmington's offense proved too strong for the Griffins as the Wildcats handed Chestnut Hill a 3-0 loss
The Griffins fall to 1-13-3 overall and 1-8-1 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games. Wilmington, ranked #14 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II poll, improves to 15-2-1 overall and 9-2 in league play.
Andrey McIntyre got off two shots in the first 35 minutes of action with both going wide. Wilmington got on the board in the 38
th minute following a scramble in front of the net.
The Wildcats added two second half goals to round out the scoring.
In the net for the Griffins,
Mahmoud Mahmoud made nine saves on the afternoon.
The Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer team will conclude their season Thursday as they host Goldey-Beacom College at Victory Field #1 in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
