Chestnut Hill College added to their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win total with today's 5-2 triumph over University of the Sciences (USciences). The Devils won the doubles point and held a 2-0 with the defaulted sixth singles point, before the Scarlet and Gold concluded the match with five straight individual wins. Senior
Kiki Dagneaux (Saint-Gervasy, France) and freshman
João Sousa (Pontevedra, Spain) combined for a number two doubles win (6-2) before separately accounting for the Griffins' points at number two (6-2, 6-2) and number three (6-0, 6-1) singles.
The doubles point came down to the top flight as USciences (0-2, 0-2) won the third flight by default and Chestnut Hill College (3-1, 2-0) claimed the second flight with Dagneaux and Sousa's 6-2 triumph. Unfortunately, the Devils were victorious in the number one doubles match, taking the team point with a 6-4 final.
Chestnut Hill College quickly found themselves down 2-0 after surrendering number six singles. They were able to get back on track with a 6-0, 6-1, Sousa win at number three singles and a 6-0, 6-3, number-four singles win from freshman

Chestnut Hill College returns to the campus tennis courts on Tuesday, March 30, when they host Thomas Jefferson University in a 2:30 p.m. match.
