Philadelphia, Pa. - (4/25/2021) – For the fourth time in eight seasons, #2 Chestnut Hill College and #1 Concordia College (NY) will meet in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Tennis Championship Match, but for the first time the title bout will be held in the Spring and at the home of the Clippers as the familiar rivals compete today at the Meyers Tennis Center in Bronxville, New York. The Griffins and Clippers met twice this season - @ CCNY on March 20, Home on April 10 - with the latter taking both in shutout fashion, 7-0. In the initial meeting, the hosting Clippers swept doubles play before retiring the Scarlet and Gold in each of the singles fights, 7-0. Freshman
Lottie Allin (Darby, England) had the most success in singles, winning the opening game of the fourth flight by a 7-5 measure, but dropping the second game 6-1 and the tiebreaker 10-5.
In the second meeting, the Clippers won the team flights in order, 1-0, before winning the match with individual victories in the fifth (6-4, 6-0), fourth (6-4, 6-2), and first (6-1, 7-5) singles flights. Junior
Gianna Vassalluzzo (Newtown, Pa.) was the last Griffin to fall in singles play, drawing out the sixth individual match to a 6-3, 6-3, conclusion.

Annika Wise treated the intimate crowd that gathered at the Chestnut Hill College Tennis Courts with a thrilling 7-6 (5), 7-5, number three singles win that sealed a 4-3, 2021 Spring CACC Women's Tennis Semifinal victory over #3 University of the Sciences (USciences). The semifinal victory earned Chestnut Hill College their first CACC Championship appearance since 2015.
