#4S Chestnut Hill College fell on the short end of a 15-4 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Baseball Semifinal score at #2S Thomas Jefferson University (Jefferson). The Griffins scored a run in each of their first two at-bats and led 3-1 after senior left fielder
Ameir Uzzell (Levittown, Pa.) knocked in junior shortstop
Nate O'Donnell (Hatfield, Pa.) with the 184
th hit of his collegiate career. His 185
th – an eighth-inning solo shot over the left field fence – made him the program's all-time hit leader in his final at-bat.

John Contoudis (Jenkintown, Pa.) got Chestnut Hill College (19-14) going with two out in the first inning. After singling to short, he stole second base and was joined on base by junior first baseman
Andrew Dietz (Warrington, Pa.) before a scoring on a single back through the box from senior second baseman
Patrick Meenan (Oreland, Pa.), 1-0. The Griffins added to their lead over Jefferson (23-10) in the second inning, this time freshman left fielder
Zach Ahmed (Las Vegas, Nev.) singled to short with two out and scored on a Uzzell double to right center, 2-0. Unfortunately, the Rams the run back in the bottom of the frame off a bases loaded balk, 2-1.
In the top of the fourth inning, O'Donnell was beaned with one out before a two-out wild pitch and Uzzell's second hit of the contest gave the Griffins a 3-1 advantage. The bottom of the frame was the turning point as the Rams led off the at-bat with a home run right center and finished it with a 7-3 lead. Jefferson solidified their position with sixth-inning grand slam, 11-3, and eventually added four more in the eighth after Uzzell's record-breaking blast, 15-4.
Uzzell (3-for-5, R, 3 RBI), Contoudis (2-for-4, R), and Meenan (2-for-4, RBI) each recorded multiple hits for Chestnut Hill College. Junior
Thomas Hughes (Phoenixville, Pa.) was the pitcher of record (3-3); he struck out three in 3.1 innings, while allowing four earned runs on four hits and three walks.
