Sparkill, N.Y. - (9/11/2021) - Chestnut Hill College (0-2-2) benefited from a pair of first-half goals in today's 2-2, double-overtime tie at St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) (2-1-1) as early tallies from graduate midfielder Lucas de Sá (Bahia, Brazil) (1-0, 20:34) and graduate forward Miguel Marra (Ossinging, N.Y.) (2-0, 25:22, ASSISTS: de Sa, McIntyre). Despite the Spartans' 19-13 shot advantage and 12-7 corner kick edge, the Griffins' denied them a tally until the 48th minute (2-1, 47:10). STAC scored again late in the 88th minute (87:55), to force overtime play. There, the Scarlet and Gold out shot the Spartans 5-2, but could not score the game-winner before the contest's conclusion.

de Sa led Chestnut Hill College with three points (1 goal, 1 assist) and four of the Griffins' 13 shots. Freshman goalkeeper Mahmoud Mahmoud (Falls Church, Va.) totaled seven saves in the affair.
