Rochester, N.Y. - (9/11/2021) - Late in today's contest at Roberts Wesleyan College (0-3-1), forward Maddie Jimenez (Bethlehem, Pa.) scored the first goal (78:34) of her senior year and the only one needed for Chestnut Hill College (1-1-1) to defeat the Redhawks, 1-0. She was responsible for half of the Griffins' 10 shots. Meanwhile, senior goalkeeper Bri Hewlett (North Wales, Pa.) did her part to complete the first shutout of her collegiate career with six saves. She made four of them in the first half, buying the Scarlet and Gold time to take over in the later frame.

Chestnut Hill College returns to Victory Field #1 on Thursday, September 16, when they open their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) schedule with a 7:00 p.m. contest versus Goldey-Beacom College. Prior to kickoff, the Department of Athletics and Recreation will hold a moment of silence for former Head Women's Soccer Coach Sandy Dickson, who passed away from Ovarian Cancer in 2019.
