Lafayette Hill, Pa. - (9/22/2021) - Chestnut Hill College was first on the scoreboard in a physical affair with Queens College as the graduate combination of
Miguel Marra (Ossinging, N.Y.) and
Lucas de Sa (Bahia, Brazil) scored a brilliant one-touch goal just 16 minutes (1-0, 15:54) into the contest. Unfortunately, the Scarlet and Gold's advantage was erased when freshman midfielder Leonel Zelaya (Amintyville, N.Y.) skirted a restart through the feet of the Griffin defense just past the 21-minute mark, 1-1 (21:15). Another 20 minutes later (41:43), the Knights struck again, extending their lead to 2-1 for the halftime break. After intermission, a third Knight tally made the deficit two tallies, 3-1 (62:52) for the final 27:08.
Freshman forward
Andrey McIntyre (Hanover, Jamaica) recorded five of Chestnut Hill College's 11 shots. Graduate goalkeeper
Steven Cedeno (Union, N.J.) (0-1) made three saves in his first start of the season.
Chestnut Hill College returns to their CACC schedule on Sunday, September 26, when they visit Caldwell University for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
