The Wildcats won the early advantage with victories in all three doubles flights, 1-0. They continued to a 7-0 match-victory with a sweep of singles play as well. Junior Carlota Garcia Arguelles (Madrid, Spain) gave the Griffins' best effort, delaying her Wildcat counterpart to a 3-6, 7-6 (4), 10-8 number-one singles win.
