Shippensburg, Pa. - (9/7/2021) - Freshman forward
Andrey McIntyre (Hanover, Jamaica) scored his second goal in as many games, knotting tonight's contest at Shippensburg University in the 78th minute (1-1, 77:30). The affair remained tied through the remainder of regulation and a pair of overtime frames, leaving the final as a 1-1 tie.
Chestnut Hill College (0-2-1) out shot the Raiders in all but the final overtime frame and owned a 16-12 advantage at the game's conclusion. They also held an 11-5 edge in corner kicks as a balanced Griffin attack kept the Shippensburg University (0-0-2) back-line busy. As a result, freshman goalkeeper Cody Willoughby (York, Pa.) recorded seven saves to keep the Raiders' ship afloat.
McIntyre took three of the Scarlet and Gold's 16 shots with four other Griffins recorded at least two. Freshman goalkeeper
Mahmoud Mahmoud (Falls Church, Va.) made four saves.
Chestnut Hill College returns to action on Saturday, September 11, when they visit St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
