The Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer team gave up four first half goals as the lost to Felician University 4-0 Saturday night at Newark Academy in Livingston, New Jersey.
The Griffins are now 1-5-3 overall and 1-4-2 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference matches. Felician improves to 6-3-3 overall and 3-2-2 in league play.
Chestnut Hill's offense struggled in the first half and did not get a shot on goal. The Golden Falcons put together eight shots on goal in the opening half, converting on half of them. Three different players scored for Felician with the fourth goal coming on an "own goal" when the ball was kicked in by a Chestnut Hill player at the 39:16 mark making the score 4-0.
Stephen Connor gave up the four goals in the half and was replaced at halftime by
Eran Shifris.  The Griffins defense held Felician to seven shots in the second half, four of them blocked and the other three high or wide. Felician finished the game with 21 total shots, outshooting the Griffins 21-7 (8-1 on goal).
Christian Torres had the Griffins only shot on goal of the game putting the ball on net in the 82
nd minute.
The Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer team returns to action on Monday when they host Shippensburg University at Victory field at Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.  Â
