The Chestnut Hill College Women's Soccer team extended their unbeaten streak to six games as they recorded a 4-2 win over Felician University Saturday evening at Newark Academy in Livingston, New Jersey.
The Griffins improve to 5-2-2 overall and 3-1-2 in central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games. Felician falls to 2-9-1 and 1-6-1 in league play.  Chestnut Hill is currently 4-0-2 on their current unbeaten streak, their longest since the 2010 season when that team went 10-0-2 from September 4 to October 9.
Sophomore
Lizzie Stokes got the Griffins on the board in the first half with her second goal of the season, taking a cross pass from
Madeline Jimenez and putting the ball past Golden Falcon goalkeeper Karlie Cabrera despite a tough angle for the shot
Jimenez put the Griffins up 2-0 on a breakaway goal in the 33
rd minute with
Rebecca Dalton getting the assist on the play.
Chestnut Hill took a 2-0 lead into halftime and added to it just 13 minutes into the second half. Jimenez got the ball on a failed clear and kicked a long shot high and over the goalkeeper for her second goal of the game and a 3-0 lead.  Freshman
Lauren Sullivan followed with her fourth goal of the season with an unassisted corner kick goal that bounced off the hands of Cabrera into the net in the 60
th minute.

Kaitlyn Carter meanwhile was stopping every shot the Golden Falcons managed to put on net finishing the game with ten saves total in just over 80 minutes of action before
Arielle O'Neal came in to finish out the game. Carter improves to 5-2-2 on the season.
The Golden Falcons scored twice in the final 1:45 to make the final score 4-2.
Jimenez finished the game with seven shots (four on goal) while Sullivan added four shots (three on goal) to account for seven of the Griffins 11 shots on goal. Stokes added two shots on goal while
Rachel Apsley and
Angel Hines had one apiece.
Felician finished with 12 shots on goal. Cabrera (2-3-1) took the loss for the Golden Falcons. Briana Franco and Kate Braun scored the two Felician goals.
The Chestnut Hill College Women's Soccer team returns to action on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 when they host Roberts Wesleyan University at the CHC Athletic field on campus. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
