Box Score The Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis team dropped back-to-back matches for the first time this season as they lost at Post University 5-2 Wednesday afternoon in Waterbury, Connecticut.
 Despite the loss, Chestnut Hill did clinch a spot in the upcoming Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship Tournament by virtue of a loss from Goldey-Beacom College to Wilmington University Wednesday afternoon which also clinched the top seed for the Wildcats in the upcoming tournament. The Griffins fall to 7-4 overall on the season and 4-4 in CACC games. Post improves to 4-3 in league play and 9-3 overall
The Eagles won two of the three doubles matches to win the doubles point to open the match. CHC's #2 doubles team of
Alison Isaac and
Nele Haag remained perfect in dual match doubles action with a 6-2 win over Nina Langenfeld and Oceane Mallevre. The duo improved to 11-0 on the season in dual match play.
In singles action Post earned victories at #6, #3 and #5 singles to clinch the match with a 4-0 lead before the Griffins got on the board with a win at #1 singles. Isaac defeated Annunciata DeSousa 1-6, 6-1, 6-3 for her fourth straight singles win, the last two at the number one singles position. Isaac improves to 9-2 in singles.
Carlota Garcia Arguelles recorded the Griffins other point in the match with a win at #2 singles 6-4, 6-4 over Megan Lambardt. She improves to 7-4 on the season. Haag completed the competition, losing a tough three set match to Mallevre at #4 singles, 2-6, 6-1, 5-7.
The Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis team will be back in action on Saturday, October 15, 2022 when they travel to face first place Wilmington University.
