The Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer team gave up just one goal in Saturday's match against Post University which was all the Eagles needed as their defense shut down the Griffins to pull out a 1-0 win.
The Griffins fall to 2-8-4 on the season and 1-4-3 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games. Post improves to 8-3-2 overall and 5-1-2 in league play.
Post got their goal early in the first half as Aritz Alonso put the ball in the net at the 5:31 mark  for the only score of the game.
The Griffins got two shots on goal in the first half, one by
Juan Molina at the 15:29 mark and another a header from
Timothy Kane in the 37
th minute.
Stephen Connor made four saves in goal in the first half.Â
Eran Shifris replaced him to start the second half and made five saves while keeping the Griffins in the game.
In the second half, Post limited the Griffins to just two shots neither of which was on net as they hung on for the 1-0 victory.
The men's soccer team returns to action as they host Jefferson University on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at victory field in Lafayette Hill, Pa. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
