Bloomfield College scored twice in the second periods as they handed the chestnut Hill College men's soccer team their fourth loss in their last five games, 3-1 Saturday afternoon at Foley field in Bloomfield, New Jersey.
The Griffins fall to 2-11-4 overall and 1-7-3 in Central Atlantic collegiate conference games. Bloomfield improves to 2-10-4 overall and 2-7-2 in league play.
With the game tied at 1-1 BC's Matiss Zegele  got the ball past Griffins goalkeeper
Eran Shifris for the go-ahead goal in the 56
th minute. Bloomfield added an insurance goal in the 85
th minutes.
The Griffins struck first in the opening half, as
Robert Sparrow converted a penalty kick at the 18:48 mark to give Chestnut Hill a 1-0 lead.
Abdoulaye Camara tied the game for the Bears in the 36
th minute where it stayed tied until the Zegele's goal in the second half.
Shifris finished the game with eight saves in the losing effort. BC goalkeeper Matthew Brun finished with four saves.

The Chestnut Hill College Men's soccer team will close out their season on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 with a home game against Georgian Court University. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m.
