Three members of the Chestnut Hill College Men's Cross Country team have been named to the 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Cross-Country All-Academic Team in an announcement made by the conference office on Thursday.

In order to be eligible for the CACC All-Academic Teams, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and must have achieved a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher through the preceding semester.

Chestnut Hill's honorees, junior Jason Fisher and sophomores Christopher Nelson and Cole Stanchina are all first time honorees.

Fisher was a 2021-22 D2 Athletic Director's Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Award winner.  He has earned Dean's List honors in each of his four previous semesters and has also been named to the CHC Athletic Academic honor roll over the same period.  As a freshman, fisher was inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta honor society and had a 4.0 grade point average.

Nelson was also a D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winner for the 2021-22 academic year.  He has earned Dean's List honors and has been named to the CHC Athletic Academic honor Roll in each of his first two semesters at Chestnut Hill.

Stanchina has also earned Dean's List honors and has been named to the CHC Athletic Academic honor Roll in each of his first two semesters at Chestnut Hill.  The sophomore runner was also inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta Honor society as a freshman.

Nelson, Stanchina and Fisher are among just 11 men's cross-country athletes from Chestnut Hill who have been named to the CACC Men's Cross country All-Academic Team since the Griffins joined the CACC at the start of the 2008-08 season.  Four of the 11 have earned CACC all-Academic accolades three times during their careers.
