The Chestnut Hill College Men's Basketball team honored their seniors Wednesday night with senior guard
Colin Flach taking full advantage of his time on the court as one of four players in double figures as the Griffins defeated Georgian Court University 75-60.
The Griffins improve to 13-12 overall and 10-7 in Central Atlantic collegiate Conference play.  The Griffins fall to 4-22 overall and 3-15 in league play.
Prior to the game the Griffins honored
Flach (Glenside, Pa.) Â and their other senior
David Erebor (Lagos, Nigeria) with a short ceremony highlighting some of their accomplishments over their careers.
Flach tied his career high with 12 points, making four three-point shots (also a career high). The senior guard also had three steals and a rebound in 27 minutes of action.Â
Conor Regan (Mullica Hill, N.J.)Â led the Griffins with 17 points and nine rebounds.Â
Amir Warrick (Washington, D.C.) contributed 12 points and six rebounds while
MJ Iraldi (West Deptford, N.J.) chipped in 11 points and six rebounds.Â
James Rider IV (Baltimore, Md.) added nine points off the bench while
Nigel Haughton (Bel Air, Md.) also had nine points and dished out seven assists.
The Lions kept the game close in the early minutes of the game, staying within two possessions before a 10-2 run, highlighted back two consecutive three-point goals from Flach gave the Griffins a double-digit lead they would not relinquish, 35-23. Rider's basket with a minute left pushed the lead to 16 before settling in for a 41-27 lead at the break.
The Griffins continued to increase the lead in the second half pushing the margin to as high as 25-47 following a Haughton three-ball with 4:59 remaining.  The Lions outscored the Griffins 13-3 in the final five minutes to make the final score somewhat respectable 75-60.

The Chestnut Hill college Men's Basketball Team returns to action on Saturday, February 26, 2022 when they travel to University of the Sciences to take on the Devils in what will be the Devils last game ever as their school is merging with St. Joseph's University later this spring.
