The Chestnut Hill College Bowling Team Concluded their regular season over the weekend with a tenth place finish at the Northeast Invitational hosted by Wilmington University.
Highlighting the weekend was the Griffins 943-870 win over #25 Adelphi University on Saturday in a traditional format match. Â
Maddie Gannon (Glenolden, Pa.) also turned in a solid performance on Saturday, averaging 199.40 over the five traditional matches to finish in fifth place among the 61 individuals competing and earn All-Tournament Team honors.
Gannon turned in her best game of the day in Chestnut Hill's opening match against Bloomfield College as the Bears defeated the Griffins 827-761. Gannon bowled a 214.Â
Eryn Moore (Bainbridge, Pa.) followed with a score of 167.
In the second match on Saturday, Division I Wagner University defeated the Griffins 889-786. Gannon again led the team, bowling a 193 while
Hope Widmer (East Stroudsburg, Pa.) bowled 171 and Moore 170.
The third match saw the Griffins earn their only win of the day, defeating nationally ranked Adelphi University 943-870.Â
Jess Hollabaugh (Folsom, Pa.) bowled the Griffins' highest match of the day with a 248. Moore added 203 and Gannon bowled 190.
Host Wilmington University defeated the Griffins 911-847 as Moore led the way, bowling a 222 and Gannon added a score of 206.
In the final match on Saturday, the Griffins lost to #13 Fairleigh Dickinson University 1,011 to 823.  Gannon led the team with a score of 194  while Moore and Hollabaugh were right behind her with scores of 190 and 181 respectively.
The Griffins will close out the regular season with four Baker format matches as the Northeast Inivational on Sunday.
