The Chestnut Hill College Men's Basketball had their three-game winning streak snapped as Post University handed the Griffins a 92-57 loss at the Drubner Center in Waterbury Connecticut on Saturday.
The Griffins fall to 8-8 overall and 3-3 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games. Post improves to 8-7 overall and 3-3 in league contests.
Conor Regan led the Griffins with 15 points (5-10 FG) while
Amir Warrick added ten points and a team high eight rebounds.
Noah Charles had nine points.
Post scored the first four points and quickly built a double-digit advantage 17-7 with 12:16 left, expanding the margin to 19 48-29 at the half. Regan had 12 of the Griffins 29 points in the period. The Eagles shot a blistering 62.5% from the field in the period, making 20 of 32 shots.
The Eagles maintained their double-digit margin and increased their lead as the second half progressed, leading by as many as 37 as they cruised to the win.
David Jasson led Post with 23 points.
For the game, the Eagles shot 61.9% (39-63) from the field while the Griffins shot 35.8% (19-53). Post also made nine of 17 shots from three-point range (52.9%). Post also held the rebounding edge, 37-27.
The Griffins return to action on Saturday, January 14, 2023 when they host Dominican University at Sorgenti Arena. Tipoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
