Griffins Win Four Matches at the CACC Invitational

The Chestnut Hill College women's bowling took part in the first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference regular season bowling competition on Saturday, competing in the first of two CACC Invitationals.  Caldwell University hosted this weekend's event at the Rockaway Lanes in rockaway, New Jersey.  The Griffins captured four of their five matches on the afternoon to end the day with a 4-1 record.

The 4-1 record places the Griffins in a three-way tie for first with Wilmington University and host Caldwell.

Leading the Griffins was Jessica Hollabaugh, bowling an 882 series for the five matches.  . Host Caldwell got the best of the Griffins in the first match with an 829-762 win. Eryn Moore and Kayleina McGonigal each shot 168 to lead the team. The Griffins then proceeded to win their next four contest, starting with a match against Wilmington.  Chase Clifford bowled a 209 and Hollabaugh 193 to lead the Griffins to an 847-825 win.

McGonigal bowled a 187 to lead the team over Holy Family University 797-505 in CHC's third match of the day
The Griffins defeated Bloomfield College 755-733 in match four. Clifford led the team with a 193. In the Griffins final match of the day, Chestnut Hill led by one mark after four frames after striking the first four to start the game.  Hollabaugh converted a 4-7-10 in the match, leading to her team-high score of 224 and an 861-842 win for the Griffins, their high score for the day.  Moore added a score of 202 in the match.
