The Chestnut Hill College Men's tennis team faced Jefferson University for thew second time this spring, dropping their match to the Rams by a score of 6-1.
The Griffins now stand a 7-5 overall and 1-2 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games. The Rams are now 11-4 and 3-0 in league play.
Jefferson clinched the match early, winning two of three doubles matches and then winning their first four singles contests to lead 5-0 before the Griffins got their only point of the day.Â
Antonio Franquis earned the Griffins' only point with a win at #5 singles, defeating Jules Thibault 6-4, 7-5.
Chestnut Hill's only other match win of the day was at #1 doubles with
Noah Cutting and
Tom Pitchley earning a 6-3 win over Enrique Soto and Antonio Mateos.
The men's tennis team returns to action on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 when they travel to Waterbury, Connecticut for a CACC contest against Post University. First serve is set for 3:00 p.m.
