Bowling Team Falls to Caldwell in CACC Championship Match

The Chestnut Hill college women's bowling team's run to the Central Atlantic collegaite Conference championship came to an end Sunday afternoon as Caldwell University defeated the Griffins 2-0 to capture the first CACC women's bowling title.

The Cougars won the traditional match 890-816 and completed the sweep with an 1004-853 win in the Baker format portion of the match.

Maddie Gannon bowled a 189 in the traditional portion of the match and also filled eight of ten frames in the baker format portion to lead the Griffins.  Gannon was subsequently named to the CACC all-Tournament team for her performance throughout the three-day event.

Eryn Moore also earned all-tournament honors, bowling 159 in the final match and filling eight of ten frames in the baker format games.

Rounding out the traditional format scores were Hope Widmer with a 175; Jess Hollabaugh with a 169  and Kayleina McGonigal with a 124.  In the Baker matches Hollabaugh led the team, filling nine of ten frames while Widmer filled seven of ten.  Maddy Feldschneider bowled in the first three Baker games, filling three of six frames while McGonigal bowled in the final two, filling two of four frames.

The loss in the championship match brings an end to the Chestnut Hill College Women's Bowling team's 2022-23 season.
