The Chestnut Hill College Men's Tennis team earned their second conference win of the season with a 6-1 triumph at Dominican University in Manny Welder Park in Monsey, New York Monday early Monday afternoon.

The Griffins improve to 2-3 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference matches and 10-6 overall. Dominican remains winless in conference play at 0-5 and is now 1-6 overall.
Chestnut Hill jumped out to a 1-0 lead after winning two of the three doubles matches.Â
Tiago Lima and
Joao Sousa started things off with a 6-1 win over Ander Sadaba and John Bruno at #3 doubles and the team of
Noah Cutting and
Antonio Franquis clinched the point with a 6-1 win over Qalib Ladhani and Tanaka Chabata at #2 doubles.
Franquis' opponent at #4 singles retired early in the second set, giving the Griffins a 2-0 lead. Sousa defeated Sadaba 6-0-, 6-1 at #5 singles followed by
Tobi Michel defeating Bruno 6-3, 6-0 at #6 singles to clinch the match for Chestnut Hill.
Cutting's 6-4, 6-0 win over Guilherme Salim at #1 singles made the score 5-0 and after the Chargers won at #2 singles, Lima defeated Ladhani, 6-4, 6-1 at #3 singles to round out the scoring at 6-1.
The men's tennis team returns to action on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, when they host Post University in a key CACC contest at the CHC tennis courts. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m. Â
