Ian Hankins are pleased to announce the Men's and Women's Cross Country Schedules for the 2023 season.
This year's schedule features five regular season meets with two of those held at the historical Belmont Plateau Cross Country Course in Philadelphia.Â
The Griffins open the season in nearby Ambler, Pennsylvania for the Temple University Season Opener on September 1. The Griffins compete at the first of their Belmont Plateau meets eight days later with the running of the 44
th Annual Philadelphia Metro Championship meet. The Metro meet, founded in 1979, is one of the longest running small college meets in the area.
New to the schedule this year is the Lock Haven Cross Country Invitational on September 23. Chestnut Hill will be competing in the event for the first time. The course for the race, LHU's West Branch Cross Country Course is flat and fast and known for producing great times.
One week later, the Griffins return action on another fast course, competing at Lehigh University in the Paul Short Invitational. The Paul Short Invitational is the regular season race the Griffins will compete in this season with over 120 colleges in all three NCAA divisions competing, split into three separate races.
The Griffins' final regular season race will be another race at Belmont Plateau, the Jack St. Clair Invitational on October 7. The race will be Chestnut Hill's final tuneup before the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships.
 Chestnut Hill will serve as the host of this year's CACC Championship meet at Belmont Plateau on Sunday October 22 in the morning. This will be the second time the Griffins have the meet, having served as host back in 2019. At last year's CACC championship, the Griffin men placed  fourth overall while the women's team placed fifth.
The season will conclude with a potential meet at the NCAA East Region Championships on the November 4. The East Regional will be held at the New Hampshire State Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, New Hampshire.
