The Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer team played in their fourth consecutive road contest Tuesday night at Adelphi University, falling to the Panthers 3-0 at Motamed Field in Garden City, New York.
The Griffins fall to 1-2-1 on the season with the loss while the Panthers improve to 2-2-1. Â
 Chestnut Hill got four shots off in the first half, but only one, a shot from
Terrance Doe was one target. The Panthers scored an early goal at the 26:01 mark and got a gift with 31 seconds left as a cross pass from a Panther attacker hit off a Griffin defender and found the back of the net for an own goal at the 44:29 mark.
The Griffin offense doubled their shots on goal total from the first half  to the second with shots from
David Cortez and
Juan Ortiz ending up on target but saved by AU goalkeeper Daniel De La Heras. The Panthers added their final goal in the 75
th minute upping the score to its final 3-0 mark.
De La Heras finished the game with three saves to earn the win I net for the Panthers. Griffins' goalkeeper
Eran Shifris took the loss, allowing all three goals while also recording nine saves. Chestnut Hill was outshot 20-8 (11-3 on goal) in the contest.
The Chestnut Hill College Men's soccer team returns to action on Saturday, September 16, 2023 when they host Bloomfield College at Victory Field in Lafayette Hill. The game will be the Griffins' home opener. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
