The Chestnut Hill College Men's cross Country team opened their 2023 season at the Lehigh University Invitational in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on Friday, with the team competing in a 6,000-meter race for the first time in program history.
Three Griffins competed on the afternoon, led by junior
Cole Stanchina. Stanchina completed the 6K course in 18:54.9, establishing a new school standard for the 6,000-meter distance while placing 31
st overall. He was also the third non-Division I finisher at the race.Â
Christopher Nelson followed in 57
th place with a time of 19:42.6.Â
Jason Fisher was the final CHC finisher with a time of 20:18.8.
The men's cross country team returns to action on Saturday, September 10, 2023 when they compete at the Philadelphia Metro Championship at Belmont Plateau. The race begins at 9:45 a.m.
