In women's soccer action last night, the Chestnut Hill College Griffins took on Daemen University Wildcats with a final score of 1-1 at Victory Field in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania.
The Griffins record is now 2-1-1 overall while the Wildcats are 1-3-1.
Kylie Miranto from Daemen scored the first goal with help from Magda Carpenter just five minutes into the game. Then, at the seven minute mark, Antonia Linus from Chestnut Hill scored with an assist from Rebecca Dalton, making it an even match.
Looking at the numbers, both teams had their moments. Chestnut Hill had 22 shots, with 13 of them on target, while Daemen had 12 shots, with eight on target. The goalkeepers did a good job keeping their teams in the game, with Daemen goalkeeper Becca Schultz making 12 saves and Griffin 'keeper Ellie Stratz with seven saves.
As both teams were on the defense and looking for goals, both teams would reach out for their set pieces in order to capitalize. Chestnut Hill recorded eight corners, while Daemen only had two.
