The Chestnut Hill College Women's Bowling team concluded their competition at the Northeast Classic in Wilmington, Delaware on Sunday, winning two of their three best-of- seven baker matches.
The Griffins finish the tournament with a 3-10 mark and finish 28
th out of 34 teams. On the season Chestnut Hill is 22-24 overall.
Chestnut Hill's first match of the day was against Norfolk State University. NSU won the first game 150-142 before the Griffins took the next two 204-153 and 181-145 to take a 2-1 lead in the match. In game four both teams bowled a 168 for a tie to make the score 2.5-1.5. The Griffins won game five 191-178. However, Norfolk captured the next two 182-159 and 192-154 to tie the match at 3.5-3.5 and force a five frame roll off.
In the roll off, the Griffins prevailed 85-72 to win the match 4-3.5.Â
Eryn Moore and
Maddy Feldschneider led the way, filling 12 of 15 frames.
Next up for the Griffins was Long Island University. Chestnut Hill came out on top in each of the four games to complete a 4-0 sweep. CHC narrowly won the opener 193-192 and took game two 151-146. Game three had the widest victory margin for CHC in the match, 192-176 before the Griffins completed the sweep with a 210-205 win in game four.  Moore and
Abigail Crumb filled seven of eight frames apiece to pace the Griffins.

Chestnut Hill's final match of the day came against Bryant University. The Bulldogs won the opening match 191-154 with the Griffins taking game two 156-153 to even the score. Bryant took a 2-1 lead with a 204-116 win in the third game only to have the Griffins win the next two matches 18-3-140 and 235-134 to take a 3-2 lead. Bryant however rebounded to tie the match with a 169-144 win in game six to force a decisive game seven which was won by the Bulldogs 198-160
. Gabriella Munsey led the Griffins, filling seven of eight frames while Moore filled 11 of 14.
Moore finished the day filling 30 of 36 frames in the three matches (83.3%).
The women's bowling team will return to action on February 3-4, hosting the Griffin Baker Classic.
