Men's Soccer Drops game at Holy Family

The Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer team lost their third straight conference game as Holy Family University defeated the Griffins 4-0 Tuesday evening at HFU's Tiger Field in Northeast Philadelphia.

The Griffins fall to 1-6-2 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games and 3-8-5 overall.  The Tigers improve to 5-8-2 overall and 3-5-1 in league play.

The Tigers scored twice in the first half, connecting on two of their three shots on goal.  Holy Family produced eight shots on goal in the second half, scoring twice more.

Connor McGrogan, the Griffins' goalkeeper, made seven saves.  Seven different Chestnut Hill players combined for nine total shots in the game with Dane Bodziak and Andres Felipe Gomez tallying two apiece.  Bodziak and Riccardo Italiano had the only two shots on goal.

The men's soccer team returns to action on Saturday, October 26, 2024 for a key conference matchup at Post University in Waterbury Connecticut.  Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
