The Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer team played their final road game of the 2024 season, losing to first place Post University 3-0 Saturday afternoon at Lamoy Field in Waterbury Connecticut.
The Griffins fall to 3-9-5 overall and 1-7-2 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games. Th first place Eagles improve to 7-1-2 in league play and 9-4-3 overall.
Post's Lukas Glade scored twice to lead the Eagles. His first goal came at the 10:09 mark and he added his second in the 82nd minute to complete the Eagles' scoring.
Santi Linares and Diego Cruz had the only two shots on goal for the Griffins with Linares' shot coming in the 42nd minute and Cruz's in the 53rd minute. Linares finished with two total shots while Jimmy Paz also had two total shots.
Connor McGrogan had eight saves in net for the Griffins.
The men's soccer team returns to the friendly confines of Victory Field for their final game of the season on Thursday, November 7, 2024, when they host Georgian Court University. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
