The Chestnut Hill College men's lacrosse team kicked off their 2024 season Saturday morning with a game against nationally ranked Seton Hill University, falling to the Griffins 11-2 at Dicks Sporting Goods Field in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
Seton Hill, ranked number 11 in the most recent USILA division II Coaches poll improves to 3-0 while Chestnut Hill starts their season at 0-1.
Noah Hammon and
Will Duddy scored the only goals for Chestnut Hill.Â
Julius Sorino made 14 saves in goal for the Griffins.
It was a rough first four minutes as the home team scored twice to take an early 2-0 lead. Seton Hill made it 4-0 by the end of the first quarter and led 5-0 by halftime.
Seton Hill added two more goals before Hammon got CHC on the board with his first goal of the season, taking a pass from
Cade Johnson and putting it past SHU goalkeeper Will Cody.
SHU added four more goals before Duddy tallied his with 1:50 left in the game to round out the scoring.Â

The men's lacrosse team returns to action on Saturday, March 2, 2024, with a game at the College of Saint Rose. First faceoff is set for 12:00 p.m.
