Box Score The Chestnut Hill College women's tennis team started the spring portion of their season on Sunday taking on Division I Loyola University at the McClure Tennis Complex in Baltimore Maryland, falling to the Greyhounds, 7-0.
The Griffins fall to 9-6 with the loss while the Greyhounds improve to 3-0.
Loyola opened the match by taking two of the three doubles matches to secure the doubles point. The Griffins lone win came at #2 doubles as
Nele Haag and
Elena Arenas Guisasola earned a 7-5 win over Olivia Tracey and Liza Tankiomvich.
The Greyhounds went on to win all six singles matches to complete the 7-0 sweep.  Â
Claudia Rasilla and
Lilian Bandel took their respective opponents to a tiebreaker for CHC's two closest singles matches of the day. Bandel Lost to Lily Langus 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-7) at #5 singles while Rasilla dropped her match to Sabrina Grewal in a tiebreaker 6-1`, 4-6, 1-0 (10-8)
The women's Tennis team returns to action on March 21, 2024 with a match against Millersville University on the CHC Tennis courts. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m.
