The Chestnut Hill College Men's Tennis Team dropped their second consecutive match Friday afternoon losing to Millersville University 4-3 at the CHC Tennis Courts.
The loss drops the Griffins' record to 5-3 while the Marauders improve to 5-6.
Millersville won two of the three doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead in the match. Chestnut Hill's open doubles win came at #2 doubles with
Tiago Lima and
Joao Sousa defeating Lino Morin and Breno Marciel 6-3.
The Marauders went up 3-0 with wins at #1 singles and #5 singles before Sousa put the Griffins on the board with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Marciel at #4 singles. Millersville clinched the match with a win at #6 singles.
Antonio Franquis recorded a 6-3, 6-3 win at #2 singles over Zach Pernia and Lima closed out the match with a 5-7, 6-2, 1-0 (10-3) win over morin at #3 singles.
The Men's tennis team returns to action with a regional match at Bloomsburg University on April 2, 2024. First serve is set for 3:00 p.m.
