The Chestnut Hill College's Men's Soccer team kicked off their 2024 regular season Thursday evening on the road, playing Lock Haven University to a 1-1 draw.
Dane Bodziak scored the Griffins' only goal, receiving a pass from Jimmy Paz and shooting past LHU keeper Brady Friewald in the lower right corner of the net, giving the Griffins a 1-0 lead in the 53rd minute.Â
Bodziak finished the game with two shots (one on goal0. Paz and Santi Linares had one shot on goal apiece to round out the Griffins offensive attack. Rodrigo Artiga had nine saves in goal.
Lock Haven tied the game with a goal in the 7oth minute by Matt Laudenslager.Â
Freiwald had two saves for the Bald Eagles, who offensively finished the game with 19 total shots, 11 of which were on net.
The men's soccer team returns to action for their home opener on Saturday, September 7, 2024, taking on another Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference squad, Shippensburg University. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
