The Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis team opened their 2024-25 season on Friday, facing Division I Mount Saint Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland.  The match was a solid test for the Griffins who fell to The Mount 6-1.

Chestnut Hill's lone point of the match came at #5 singles  as freshman Annabel Snow in her collegiate singles debut, defeated Ryan McCarthy 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7).

The Griffins also won one of the three doubles matches with Alison Isaac and Elena Arenas Guisasola earning a 6-4 win over McCarthy and Valentine Mudry at #3 doubles.  The Mount earned wins at 31 and #2 doubles to take the doubles point.

Isaac was also the only other singles player besides Snow to win a set, winning the first set of her #1 singles match against Margherita Trolese 6-1 before dropping the match 6-1, 2-6, 0-1 (8-10).

The women's tennis team returns to action on Monday, September 9, 2024, when they travel to Jefferson University to begin conference play against the Rams.  First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
